Mansa College, named after the Mansa Devi Temple, Haridwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Mansa Devi in the holy city of Haridwar in the Uttarakhand state of India. The temple is one of the Panch Tirth (Five Pilgrimages) within Haridwar.Mansa College was established as a co-educational college in 1990 under the banner of Vasuki Memorial Sanchalan Samiti, (Regd), is organization which is a voluntary citizens' group, organized on a local level, to address issues in the area of vocational and professional education. It is task-oriented and made up of people with a common interest. the primary motive of the samiti is to nurture and facilitate students to discover the realms and pleasures of learning by building a positive , progressive and quality educational environment to achieve employment and self employment.
Mansa College came into existence through the visionary leadership of Late. Shri. B. S. Saxena and was inaugurated on 25th August 1992by Shri. Satya Dev Saxena, the former Secretary - Ministry of Finance' Government of India' New Delhi. The founders of the institution visualized, established on 25 August 1992with the objective of promoting the development of higher education and related training development and assessment program/CSR activities provided for the development as well as upliftment of the various strata of the society in Bhilai and Durg districts of Chhattisgarh.The college has been marching forward for providing study and research facilities to promote the advanced knowledge in the 5 acres multi- campus set up in the rural and semi urban area of Durg' Chhattisgarh. Affiliated to National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) Delhi, National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) New Delhi, Hemchand Yadav University' Durg, Chhattisgarh- Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) Chhattisgarh and Pt. Sundarlal Sharma Open University, an state university in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh to provide for the development of higher and school for distance education in the DurgChhattisgarh which were lagging in the field of Higher Education.
The Society was thus established with the mission of “बेहतर एवं रोजगारोन्मुखी शिक्षा" and is registered under Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act of 1973. Society exists and is operated "exclusively for rural and urban educational purposes and not for profit".Under the guidance of Shri S.D. Saxena and Shri B.S. Saxena the society started various courses like ITI in Fitter, Welder, Mason, Cutting Tailoring and Electrician trade, Copa,Polytechnic in core branches, B.Ed, M.Ed. and B.P.Ed. The main center of the foundation was intentionally chosen to be rural as well as urban area of Chhattisgarh. Initially the majority of people here could not afford to send their children for technical or professional education or to have satisfactory level of education. Hence the society tried to sort out all the problems of the area.
Life makes us go through situations that add to our knowledge and helps us to become better human being. Today education has become a fundamental element of our lives. It places a huge meaning and characterizes us as individuals. "The main hope of a nation lies in the proper education of its youth." And the purpose of this institution is to develop reasoning, master the method of scientific approach, cultivate the intellect, navigate towards a positive attitude, develop spirituality and cater a democratic society. Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do, and Attitude determines how well you do it.
